This is the hardy form and has overwintered successfully at my nursery. It is a large climber with long stems, and bright purple flowers in summer. Later it has red poisonous berries. If it gets unruly it responds well to cutting back. For a partly shaded site in good soil. Sold in a 3 litre round pot.
